Sanjin Fazlić
Sanjin Fazlić, born on 25 January 1977 in Sarajevo. In 2001, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Graphic Arts Department, in the class of Prof. Dževad Hozo. Namely, already as a young boy, Sanjin was fascinated by comic books as an art form and it is within this art form that he achieved his first professional success. While he was still a student, his comic book "Clown - Law Enforcement" was published in instalments from 1996 to 1999 in Fan Magazin, the Svijet weekly as well as in the prestigious comic magazines in Slovenia: Strip Burek and Strip Burger.
Apart from that, he ahs designed poster and other promotional materials for theatre plays, for concert tours of eminent pop stars, as well as for the Human Rights Film Festival. He has also illustrated and animated videos for prestigious companies and brands in BiH. He is constantly active and has exhibited his graphics individually and at group shows. As an exceptionally talented painter and graphic artist, he has a recognisable postmodern style with particularly pronounced figures.
His extensive talent and originality of expression are particularly evident in the vivid illustrations he contributed to one of his favourite project - the fairy tale "Little Blu in the Land of Dragons", where he masterfully combined traditional and expressly futuristic motifs.
We can say without a doubt that Sanjin is ahead of his time!
World Awards:
1. «Premio Asiago», in Asiago, Italy, in 2004, for the best postage stamp design.
2. 2nd place at the International Graphic Art Competition in 2001 in Iran.
He is also the recipient of numerous local awards.
